Smorgasburg, Fleas & Six Coasts

Smorgasburg is seeking NYC-based freelance content creators to help capture the energy, culture, and community of our markets across Smorgasburg, Six Coasts, Brooklyn Flea, Chelsea Flea, and BQ Flea. This role is perfect for creators who thrive in live environments, have a strong visual eye, and can move quickly while producing thoughtful, high-quality content.

Responsibilities

• Capture photo and video content at Smorgasburg and Flea Markets on select weekend dates
• Film vendors, food, fashion, crowd moments, and on-site experiences for social and digital use
• Follow provided shot lists while staying adaptable to spontaneous, in-the-moment moments
• Upload and organize media according to established workflows and deadlines
• Collaborate with the Smorgasburg marketing team while working independently on-site

Qualifications

• Proven experience creating content for social or digital platforms
• Preference for candidates with editing experience (CapCut, Adobe Premiere, Final Cut, etc.) and a photography background
• Must have access to:
  • iPhone 13 or newer, or
  • Digital filming equipment (DSLR, mirrorless camera, Osmo, etc.)
  • For Editing: Laptop or Desktop Computer Mac Os: Sequoia 15 or Higher or Windows 11
• Strong editorial judgment, brand sensitivity, and attention to detail
• Charismatic, adaptable personality with a passion for food, fashion, and local culture
• Excellent time management and ability to work autonomously in fast-paced, live environments
• Clear communicator who respects the people, space, and community being documented
• NYC-based and able to travel to Brooklyn and Manhattan locations

Commitment

• Minimum commitment of two (2) two-hour shoots per month
• Additional opportunities may be available based on performance and availability
